Inspired by the ancient Mideast ogee arches, iconic of Gothic architecture, Ikat Marsh is a 21st-century twist on the flamboyant style of the 14th and 15th centuries. The classic ogee “S” curve is softened with an ikat-dye effect, and accentuated with pop-art dots and radiant color. The characteristic abrash colorations of our hand-knotted Tibetan loop rugs are achieved with hand-carded mountain wool yarns woven into a ribbed background; the ogee motif is a cut-pile blend of natural silk and linen yarns.
