Inspiration in Unusual Places – The Best Dressed at the Golden Globes

One of my favorite things about the Golden Globes is to see all of the beautiful gowns that the stars are wearing. Although these beautifully designed dresses aren’t every-day wear, they can be used as inspiration for our interiors.

Julianne Moore wore a graphic black and white gown by Tom Ford. The dining table legs in gold bring the angular lines to an otherwise soft-edged room.

Kerry Washington wore this unique  mid-length dress by Miu Miu. A relatively simple silhouette is embellished with with a beautiful feather-like pattern. This simple entryway is dressed  up with a sparkly chandelier.

Kate Hudson walks the red carpet in a striking Alexander McQueen. A room with dark walls can seem larger with a floor length mirror. Dress it up with gold frames and accessories to create and even more dramatic look.

Chanel was a perfect fit for Anne Hathaway. This all-white, sequined gown was a classic choice. An all-white bathroom done in carrera marble is another classic – beautiful and timeless.

I love Kerry Washington’s dress. And I love a simple entryway with a gorgeous chandelier!
