Show N’ Tell – French Moderne Manor: Part I

We are thrilled to finally be revealing the French Moderne Manor! After working on this project for several years, it’s bitter-sweet to have it come to an end. When you design a home from the ground up it sort of becomes your baby. We had a big final push (there’s your baby analogy!) to get this home ready for the Utah Valley Parade of Homes this year. We were so humbled by the kind words and praise we received from the thousands of parade goers. We hope you enjoy it, too!

We’ll be revealing the home in chunks (there’s just so much!) throughout the month of August, so be sure to check back for more pictures of the home as we share them. To kick things off, we thought we’d start with one of our favorite areas in the home…the kitchen! The homeowners were all for mixing metals here, and you better believe we ran with that to the finish line! The diamond front french gray cabinets, 18K gold faucets, and brass and stainless steel range-hood are just a few of the things that make this kitchen remarkable!

The dining area sits right off the kitchen with a vaulted ceiling and large grid windows that frame the mountain side views out back. Tucked off to the side of the kitchen is the butlers pantry…which is adorned with classic french design, including black and white check floors (with a modern twist of course!).

Amazing work you guys! The kitchen is drop dead gorgeous and I love all the gold details! I am in the process of building a house and am using gold as well! I find it warm and luxurious all at the same time.

We hand picked the slab from Italia Stone in SLC. Best of luck in your search!

I love everything about this kitchen! If possible, will you please share information about the cabinet hardware?

The hardware is from Rocky Mountain Hardware, it’s the Empire Pulls. We used a combination of the bronze and white finishes throughout.

Who did you guys go through to make the range hood? I asked Matt when I took a tour, but completely forgot the name. Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to your inquiry. We went through ACW Metals located in Salt Lake City to custom make the kitchen hood.

This kitchen is incredibly inspiring as I dream of designing my own. I have a couple of specific questions:

I’m assuming the range is 60″ and I see the height is 11 feet.
What is the entire width of the range wall?
How wide are the french gray cabinets?
How did you mix the custom color of gray? I would like to use exactly what you did here. Thank you. Riann

Out of respect for our clients, we do not share all design details. The range has a total width of 5’1″. The gray diamond front cabinets on the sides are approx. 2’10” wide. The custom gray paint was mixed by the cabinet shop so we do not have specifics to share. Best of luck with your own kitchen design!

I am also interested in the depth of the gray cabinets as well as the depth of the white upper cabinets next to the fridge. Thanks again.

The kitchen hardware is from Rocky Mountain Hardware. It’s the Empire series.

The hardware in the pantry is from Ashley Norton. It’s the Hex Pull and Helios Knob with a back plate.

Hi! It looks like you chose different finishes for the hardware based on the cabinet color? Can you tell which finish you used where…sea pearl and gray? I know you said white and bronze, but do you mind being more specific? Thanks and this is AMAZING!

Can you please let me know when the golden handles on the doors with glass came from? What is the model name please? Thanks.

We are using the same Rocky Mountain Hardware and getting ready to order it but I am having trouble deciding which finish bronze finish to use. Could you please tell me what finish was used on the hardware in this kitchen, specifically the empire pulls? Thank you so much!
