Exterior Refresh for Summer
This week on Dear Alice, we feature special guest Jeremy Fillmore. Jeremy is an incredibly talented landscape architect and he comes to offer his expertise on how to design beautiful exteriors. He explores different plants, techniques, moments, and ideas for how to create an outdoor space that is loved and well used. To listen to the full podcast, check it out here. We wanted to touch on some of our favorite outdoor accessories, to easily refresh porches and patios for the summer months.
We love adding living greenery to our designs, both indoors and outdoors. Plants add a fresh, relaxing touch, giving the eye a place to rest. For larger plants, we suggest our Brutalist and Callista Pots. Their wide, rounded forms feature dimensional geometric lines on a fiber cement form, lending an organic, weathered style. Our favorite smaller pots are the Farah Rosa, they are incredibly versatile with a natural white finish and chic dot accents.
Another of our favorite additions are outdoor stools. We love that they can double as a small side table, easily holding anything from drinks to gardening tools. Our most-loved are Francesca, Daphne, and Charlotte. Francesca features a striking yellow coloring, effortlessly lending color and texture. Daphne boasts a traditional blue and white in an intricate flower and leaf pattern. Charlotte showcases a beautiful rose pattern with accentuating cutouts. Each stool has its own eye-catching design, styling well into any indoor or outdoor setting.
