Metal Finishes

With a variety of metal finishes available, we wanted to talk about different metal finishes and how they style throughout the house. The trend in fashion and interiors is towards silver. We see colors warming up and that pairs so well with nickel. We love silver tones like polished nickel, pewter, silver, it varies in adding a sophisticated to casual, long-lasting tone. Also, it mixes well with other metals for beautiful layers throughout the house.

As we've started to create our own products, finding the perfect metals is one of our highest priorities. One of our current crushes is living brass. We feel like it lends a natural, honest touch. Since it is organic, extended exposure to water can cause natural changes to its look and texture. We created the Beatrice Etagere and Alice Vanity Mirror first in a plated brass, and knew right away that it had to be real. Both pieces are stunning and we are obsessed with how elegant they look with real brass.

As for timeless silver, one of our favorite pieces that we’ve created is our Nickel Candle Snuffer. Based on a one-of-a-kind antique design that Jess fell in love with, she wanted to create a timeless accessory for any space. Its smooth nickel finish is perfect, pairing well with candles throughout the house. Another beautiful touch is the pewter knobs designed for our Theodore Sideboard. They complement its light, oak finish creating a beautiful pairing.
